Choose by shade style: roller shades provide a clean, simple blackout surface; zebra shades add adjustable layered bands; cellular shades use a honeycomb structure; and Roman shades add soft fabric folds. All four current SunShieldor styles use full-blackout fabric. Roller shades use a continuous panel, zebra shades use layered adjustable bands, cellular shades use honeycomb construction, and Roman shades form soft folds. Final room darkness still depends on sizing, zebra-band alignment, mounting method and edge gaps.

Which Motor Package Should You Choose?

  • Remote Rechargeable: straightforward operation with the included handheld remote.
  • Zigbee + Remote: suitable for compatible Zigbee smart-home systems while retaining remote control.
  • Matter + Remote: designed for compatible Matter ecosystems while retaining remote control.
  • Solar-panel package: adds a solar panel to the selected motor package for supplemental charging.

Smartphone schedules and Alexa or Google Home control require the appropriate motor package and compatible hub, gateway or smart-home equipment. Review the selected product option before checkout.

Standard Size or Custom Size?

Choose a standard-size motorized shade when a listed width and height fit your window. For an exact finished width and height, shop custom-size blackout shades. Measure each window separately using our window measurement guide.

Do SunShieldor motorized shades require hardwiring?

No. The current motor packages are rechargeable and include a handheld remote.

Do motorized shades work with Alexa or Google Home?

Voice control depends on the selected Zigbee or Matter package and compatible smart-home equipment. A basic remote rechargeable motor does not provide voice control by itself.

Is the solar panel included with every motorized shade?

No. A solar panel is included only when a solar-panel motor package is selected.

Are motorized shades available in custom sizes?

Yes. Custom-size roller, zebra, cellular and Roman shades can be ordered with compatible motor packages from the custom-size collection.
