Custom blackout shades are priced by billable square footage, not by a single flat piece price. This guide explains how SunShieldor calculates custom roller, zebra, cellular and Roman shades.
How is billable square footage calculated? Multiply finished width in inches by finished height in inches, then divide by 144. SunShieldor bills a minimum of 8 sq. ft. per shade. If the calculated area includes a decimal, values of 0.5 or more round up and values below 0.5 round down.
What is included? Every custom shade is made to the submitted width and height. Choose Inside Mount or Outside Mount, then choose cordless or a motor package. Custom orders also include a $20 base shipping charge at checkout; the per-square-foot shipping allocation is included in the displayed rate.
Which style should I choose? Roller shades offer a clean profile, zebra shades add layered privacy, cellular shades add an insulating honeycomb structure, and Roman shades add soft folds. All current SunShieldor styles are full-blackout.
